• Demon

Its was on a dreary night of November that I beheld the accomplishment of my toils. With an anxiety that almost amounted to agony, I collected the instruments of life around me that I might infuse a spark of being into the lifeless thing that lay at my feet. It was already one in the morning; the rain pattered dismally against the panes, and my candle was nearly burnt out, when , by the glimmer of the half-extinguished light, I saw the dull yellow eye of the creature open; it breathed hard and a convulsive motion agitated its limbs.

The legs started to kick and I backed away wondering how my little experiment is going to come out. The corpus that I found three mouth’s ago in this old abandon shed started to move about with flaring arms and legs attempting to get up from the floor. I got closer and stretched out my hand to him, his yellowed eyed gaze stared at the hand and with a twitching hand grabbed on. I pulled it up and it smiled with his ugly teeth and horrible smell of death reeking from his body. I stand back and pulled my hand out of his as his ugly rotting wounds started to heal with maggots coming out from the open chest cavity to rap themselves around the wounds to substitute for flesh. The maggots soon seem to melt into flesh making the wounds unnoticeable, the maggots did leave the chest open, I could see a the heart of the monster I have made, black as night and covered in acid- yellow maggots. It beated with a thump thump, thump thump.

I recoiled at what I just saw “What have I done?! I’ve made a monster! I should have never used that book, What have I done!” I yelled as the monster smirked and spoke “Looks like you don’t like me, why is that? Its such a powerful thing to summon a powerful demon like me into the world!” I backed away even more until I was in the doorway of the shed as he moved closer to me his skin starting to change color. A deep red color stared from his chest cavity and expanded out to the rest of the body. “Nice job getting a good rotting body, keep all my maggot friends in my chest! Now then I must have my first meal, I cant walk around in the same body for too long…” He smirked at me as I looked on in horror of the demon I have borough into this world

He glared at me “Why are you standing around? Bring me a body! Or must I use yours?” He got closer to me as I gulped. I could not do this, could not feed this monster by bringing it a body for it to do God-knows-what with! I moved quickly slipping under his arm and over to the other side of the shed. He sighed and turned around his yellow eyes glowing with desire “So it’s the hard way now is it? Fine!” He lunged at me, in the process knocking over the candle and starting a small fire. I ducked and crawled on my hand and knees franticly attempting to get away. The demon growled as I got up from the floor. It attacked again and slashed my cheeks, leaving a pain I have never felt before. I staggered back as I held my burring cheek and soon felt the skin slip from my cheek bone. It dripped off like liquid leaving me screaming as my fingers felt the bare bone, where skin was once was.

The demon laughed “Just give in, you fool!” He attacked again, this time I was lucky, dodging the blows that could have ended me. In a rage and desperation I grabbed an old bottle from the work table and smashed it against his head. All it did was melt into his dark red skin and made him laugh. “You will die!” He said grabbing my arm with both hands melting the skin and making me scream as he tore my limb from its socket. I screamed at ran out of the shed as he was busy with my limb holding onto my profusely bleeding hole where my arm use to be. The cold rain water felt so nice among the pain I was feeling as I ran to the cover of a large oak tree.

The Demon when after me still but then started to yell and scream as smoke arose from his skin melting the dark red color and showing the body that he had taken over with my help. The rain water seemed to really hurt it as small smile came to my face, he could not get me here. I started to feel faint then looked at my arm, I must be running out of blood, I try to walk but I soon fall next to the tree my eyes staring at the dark red skin now just a puddle of goop, I was too tried to notice that the goop was moving…moving to me. “Hehehe your dead now you demon” I said my eyes closing feeling victorious as the goop reached me and started to consume me. I could not feel it, my skin melting and the maggots that soon started to swarm around me. Only too late did I realize that I did not win as I opened my eyes to see it had covered me from toe to neck. I tried to scream one last time but nothing came out as the demon laughed “You’re my new body now, thanks for the fight” he said as the demons skin covered my face now just feeling the pain threw my body of the skin burning and melting off.

I was no longer in control of my body, I no longer have a body anymore! The demon took it as I was reduced into a pale color puddle as he laughed the maggots going to make a new arm and the rest into his mouth to make a new nest in the bodies chest. I wanted to yell and scream and fight him and kill him for taking my body! I could not even move, he laughed and laughed when the rain stopped and he walked into the shed and got an old dirty jar. The demon scraped me into the jar and put a lid on staring at the jar with his eyes, my eyes that now glowed yellow “Now then! To thank you for your body I might as well give you a jar to keep your liquidly soul from going down the drain” He walked off leaving me by the Oak tree as I sat and waited, waited for someone to come looking for me and maybe get me out of this old dirty jar.
