During this time, I came across someone who had a problem. There was this girl that he liked, however he said that while his brain was telling him she was the right girl, his heart was saying that she was not. I forgot the exact details, but I remember that it seemed his heart was thinking of the "logical solution." This actually came as a complete surprise to me because this could change everything I know about the heart.
"Logic?" Does the heart know such a thing? As a matter of fact, does the heart truly KNOW anything? While the heart is powerful and affects us in many different ways, does it really have the ability to think and see the "logical solution" to a problem? Being a container of emotions, the heart should only act on instinct. The heart is attracted to good emotions and suffers through bad emotions. Simple process. But thinking? Can it really do that? It seems like a reversal of roles. The brain is what does the thinking and should be the one to dictate "logic," not the heart. Or does the heart possess some sort of thinking capacity that I am unaware of?
This seems to have drawn my total attention back to my reports. So many theories that could explain this situation seem to pop up into my head as I think about this. I should think about each theory carefully before reporting...
