Chapter Thirteen
The Hotel Bella Meurte
There was a honking of a horn coming from outside their hotel window. Carla was the first to open her eyes. She groggily reached for her glasses and wiggled out from beneath Chels’ arm and Britt’s leg. Walking to the window, she let out a huge squeal.
Outside the window was the Aiden tourbus. Sami was outside, waving like a lunatic on top of Troy’s shoulders, and the rest of the band, except Jake D., who was still honking the horn inside the bus, was waving behind them.
“What the ********, Carla?” groaned Chels, grabbing her glasses.
Carla was jumping up and down, pointing to the window. The three girls still in bed gave her odd looks until she finally burst out with “SAMI!”
At that, the three girls fell over themselves trying to get the window as fast as they could.
“HI GUYS!!!” Sami shouted as loudly as she could. “COME DOWN! WE DON’T HAVE MUCH TIME!”
The girls rushed around looking for their suitcases. When they found them and successfully put on clothes, they burst out the door and rushed to the elevator.
“Can’t this s**t go any faster?!” shouted Mandy at the elevator as they slowly descended to the lobby floor. When the doors opened, Sami was in the lobby, holding a big sign that said “THE AIDEN FAMILY” with a big smile on her face.
“SAMI!” The girls shouted and they tackled her to the floor.
“When did you get here?!” Britt asked.
“We got here about a half an hour ago. We were driving around the airport, looking for hotels and this was the closest. Also, someone told us a girl with goggles and fairy wings was driving like a maniac to this hotel last night.”
Chels laughed. “I have no clue who that could’ve been.”
The rest of them laughed along with her.
“Come on, guys! We have to get on the bus and to Claire fast!” said Sami, getting up from the floor. The four girls nodded and got up from the floor as well, dragging their suitcases to the Aiden Bus.
Sami led them to the bus, introducing Chels, Britt, Mandy, and Carla to the Aiden boys, who greeted them warmly with hugs.
“So, you guys are The Aiden Family?” Angel asked them.
“Well, we’re most of it. We still need to pick up Claire in Texas,” Mandy said. At the mentioning of Claire’s name, wiL looked down and blushed heavily. The girls squealed, which caused him to blush even more.
Nick was touching Chels’ homemade falls, an amused look on his face. “What are these?” He asked.
“Falls,” she replied, smiling. Nick nodded.
“Did you make these?”
Chels nodded.
“Oh my lord, can you make me a pair?” His eyes widened like he was a kid in a candy store.
Chels looked at him and was trying to tell if he was serious or not. When she realized he was, she smiled and nodded again.
“Sweet! I’m getting a pair of falls!” Nick did a little dance which made Chels laugh. Angel glared at him, a little jealous that he wasn’t getting a pair.
“Let’s get on the bus, guys!” said Mandy, a smile on her face. She opened the door to the tourbus and saw Jake D. They stared at each other wide eyed for a few moments until they both blushed and looked away. Jake Wambold got behind her, winked at The Aiden Family and picked her up by the waist.
“HEY! Put me down, Jake!!!” She shouted.
“Okay,” he said, and he set her down on Jake D’s lap. Her face exploded into a bright red blush as Aiden and the Aiden Family laughed. They all piled into the bus and dumped their suitcases in various places.
“Wait, i-i-i-it’s n-n-n-ot my turn to d-d-d-rive,” Jake stammered, Mandy still sitting on his lap.
“Oh yeah, that’s right!” said Angel, a devious grin on his face, “It’s Dakota’s!”
“HEY!” The guitartech shouted. Angel gave him a look.
“Now, don’t be selfish. If you drive, then there’s more time for Jake and Mandy to spend together. Isn’t that right, guys?”
The rest of the crew agreed. Jake’s blush seemed to consume his whole body. Mandy was looking at the floor. Angel pushed Dakota up to the driver’s seat.
“Alright, Dakota, your turn.”
“But Jake’s gotta get up first!” whined Dakota.
“That’s true. Up you go, Jake.”
Jake was frozen onto the driver’s seat and Mandy was frozen on his lap. Dakota gave Mandy a small poke. She looked up, her entire face red. Slowly, she slipped off Jake’s lap and went to the back of the bus, Jake trailing behind her.
Dakota took his place at the wheel of the bus and began to start it up. Angel returned to the back of the bus, where Aiden and The Aiden Family were sitting. Nick and Chels were exchanging hair and make-up tips, Britt and Carla were chatting it up with The Wambolds and Sami, who was being snuggled tightly by Troy, and Mandy and Jake D. were sitting next to each other on a bunk, too shy to look up, but they were holding hands. The world was about the end in a week, but it all seemed perfect at the moment.
