Author: yeah, i dont wanna hear any wise cracks on me constantly updating. I just have alot to write, lots of free time, and tons of inspiration. Plus using a keyboard is WAY easier than actually writing it out. How many pages do you think ive gone so far? 10, 20? a BAJILLION!?
Allen: Author chan is scaring me...
Lavi: she scares us all...
Kanda: she doesnt scare me.
Author: *foams at mouth*
Kanda: okay.. well mabye a little...
Lavi: easy author-chan... easy now...
group: we would once again like to point out that Author chan DOES NOT own D. Gray man. If she did, Old Bookman would have pink spots instead of black, and be called bookwench. XD

Omake hyaa!

When Lavi opened his eyes in the morning, he could tell that something was wrong. First of all, it felt WAY too early for him to naturally be getting up. Second, he felt as if someone was staring at him. He peeked over at Kanda's bed only to see the little samurai looking back at him. He was startled to see large black bags under the deep blue eyes.
"yuu-chan" lavi mumbled, rubbing his eye "what's wrong?"
"nufin." Kanda slurred back, swaying a little.
"holy crap yuu-chan." Lavi blinked. "you didnt sleep at all did you?" Kanda blinked at the boy as if he had just realized he was being talked to.
"mrnin." he mumbled. He stood on two little shaky legs and immediatly fell over, blinking bewildered. Lavi would have had to fight the urge to laugh if he hadnt been more concerned. He hopped out of bed, noticing the dial on his clock reading 5:30, before moving over to the boy and lifting him off the ground.
"whats wrong?" lavi cooed, rocking the boy gently as kanda buried his face into his shoulder. "why didnt you tell me you couldnt sleep?" Lavi felt the small body shake suddently with a hiccup, then a sniffle and a few more hiccups before he realized kanda was crying. Lavi rocked the boy more gently, taking a seat on his bed.
"there now." he said softly "I think your still tired. What do you say we try going back to bed?"
Kanda started to whimper lightly, grasping onto Lavi's shirt tightly. "wanna s~stay with y~you." he hiccuped. Lavi nodded.
"of course." he grinned as he felt Kanda relax slightly. 'He's gonna kill me when this blows over.' lavi sighed mentally. He layed back down on his bed, adjusting his covers to cover both him and kanda, who was still hiccuping now and then. The litte boy gripped the front of Lavi's shirt and buried his face into the cloth. Lavi smiled softly and pulled the blanket over both of them before wrapping the boy in a loose hug.
"sleep well yuu." he said softly, and smiled gently at the already sleeping child.

Lenalee sighed. Not even 6 in the morning and already...
She sighed again looking down at her brothers empty bed.
"ran off..."
This was going to be a long day.

Luna's eyes popped open at 6 o'clock on the dot. She sat up in her bed and looked around. Sure the room wasnt exactly familiar, but none the less, morning chores HAD to be done. She hopped out of the comfortable mesh bed, and looked down at her own clothing, consisting of an overly large jacket messily wrapped around her slim frame. She readjusted it so that it covered more and fit more tightly, then peered around the room. It was large, filled with firery reds and royal purples, and in the center in front of a large window was a nice piano. Luna sighed. She didnt remember how long it had been since she had played, and the urge to was almost overwhelming. But seeing as someone else was in the room (at this point she looked over at the other bed) she would not. Piano was not permittied. At least not when there were chores to be done. The girl turned to the place she had slept, questioning the royal look of the bed, before shrugging and getting to work. This room was a mess. She worked quietly for a while, wondering what today's meal would be, and whether it should be early in the day or later at night. If it was later, then she wouldnt be as hungry tomorrow morning, which could help in whatever situation may arise. One never knew. She nodded at her silent decision on a later meal, and was just about to start scrubbing the floor when she heard a rustle from the other side of the room.
"l-luna?" the girl mumbled, fisting her eyes and blinking around the room. Luna turned to the girl, but stayed sitting on the floor.
"yes?" she said softly.
"What are you doing?"
"Cleaning."
"why?"
"..." Luna knew that sometimes the monitors would use tricks to get her to slip up, but she couldnt recall this one. But she knew, answer wrong and there would be concequences.
"because i made it dirty so it must be cleaned."
"Did you spill something?" Alteara was still groggy and couldnt understand, looking around the room for a mess.
"no."
"then how is it dirty?"
"because i touched it, and everything i touch becomes dirty."
Alteara stared at the girl, feeling much more awake as she blinked in astonishment. Then she frowned. 'A Relapse', she thought, staring at the girl who refused to look her in the face.
"alright, drop that rag and stand up." Alteara snapped, getting off her bed and moving to her closet. Luna complied, standing quietly. Alteara leaned into her closet and began to dig through all of the clothing, searching for something small for the girl to wear.
"Alteara?"
The blonde popped her head back out, blinking at Luna. The red head was looking at the bucket and rag on the floor with a questioning face.
"what are you doing... and did you clean?" She looked around the room in awe.
Alteara blinked, then grinned. "im finding clothes for you to wear." she smiled, then she ducked back into the closet. "and yeah... it just felt a little... dusty in here... so i decided to clean..." She smiled sadly into the back of her closet. Suddenly she heard a soft buzzing sound, like tiny wings against plaster. She leaned out of the closet just as a large spindly mosquito like bug with long wings flew in crazy patterns out into the room.
Luna paled, backing up into her bed. "A-alteara... alteara kill it. KILL IT RIGHT NOW!" she snapped squirming away as the bug flew toward her. The little red head rushed over to her friend, hiding behind her legs. Alteara grabbed a shoe from beside the door and walked over, taking aim at the bug that was now resting on the wall. Luna whined, trying to reach the handle to the door to the room, unable to get her whole hand around it.
"let me out first!" she cried, "i dont wanna be in here with it!" Alteara turned to her friend and sighed.
"well which is it!? You want to leave or you want it dead?"
"BOTH!" luna cried. She went rigid when the bug flew into the air with a buzz and headed straight for her. "NYA!" she screamed running around the room. When she stopped, both her and Alteara looked around with no sign of the insect.
"w-where is it..." Luna shivered.
"i dont-" Alteara paled when she turned to her friend. "l-luna... now... dont panic..." Luna's eyes went as big as dinner plates.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN DONT PANIC?!" she hissed.
"Its just a bug..."
"WHERE IS IT!?"
"luna."
"TELL ME!"
"luna"
"WHAT!?"
"its on your arm."
"..."
"KYAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

Miranda and Allen both jerked awake at the loud scream that practically shook the order.
"w-what was that?" Miranda asked softly, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
"sounded like luna..." Allen mumbled grogily.
"ah, good morning Allen-kun." miranda smiled brightly at the tiny boy next to her. He grinned up at her, then blushed a little.
"sorry for... um.. taking up space..."
Miranda blinked. "dont be silly!" she laughed. "you're so cute!" She stood from the bed and then pulled out the black shirt she had offered Allen yesterday.
"why dont you change into this, while i see what i can do about something remotly similar to pants."
Allen laughed, but took the offered shirt, trading it for his mixed up jacket while miranda pulled out some of her clothing. She found a pair of pants that had been too small for her, and, using a needle and some thread, quickly trimmed them down to a smaller size.
"There!" she grinned, holding the pants up. She turned to see allen, laughing with the overly large shirt on. She handed him the pants. "put these on and let me see that shirt, ill fix it."
By the time Miranda was done, Allen looked as if someone had gone out and bought children's clothing for him. They fit perfectly, little black shorts and a black shirt. He blinked up at miranda with his big silver eyes and she had to bite back a squeel.
"you look so cute!" she hugged the boy, tossing him into the air. He laughed uncontrollably before miranda placed him back to the floor to catch his breath.
"what do you say you help me make clothes for the others?"
Allen nodded with excitement. He would like to be helpful if he could. This child form wasnt the easiest to function in. Miranda grabbed a pile of old clothing from her closet, most of it too small or big, and started to cut, using allen every so often for measurements. The silver haired boy watched in wonder as her hands nimbly flew over the fabric. He rememberd back in her home town how she would fix toys and give them to the neighborhood children, even though they teased her. He grinned. He was happy to have miranda looking after him. As she smiled back at him, he laughed, wondering how Kanda was fairing with the neighborhood crazy red-head.

Lavi sighed when he heard a soft knock on his door.
"lavi-kun!" a girls voice called softly. Lavi moved to stand, but even in sleep kanda's small hands were tightly entangled in his shirt. He pulled the boy up with him, wrapping them both in a blanket with flexibility skills he had no idea he posessed, then moved to the door. He opened it to find Lenalee.
"what can i do ya' for lenalee?" lavi asked quietly, shifting kanda's weight a little to make him easier to hold.
"ah... you havent seen nii-san around... have you?" She looked at the red-head who had obviously been sleeping with an apologetic face.
"did he go missing?" lavi sighed. "i figured he would at least stick around for a day or two... Check with Reevers."
"ah!" lenalee smiled. "i didnt think of that. Thanks!" She looked at Kanda in his arms and gently brushed some of the dark hair from his face. "Is kanda-kun alright?"
"he didnt sleep well." lavi sighed. "So im giving him the day off."
Lenalee grinned. "alright. Well, come to the cafeteria around 10, even if he's sleeping. We're all going to decide what to do today."
Lavi nodded and waved lenalee off as she headed for the science department. He was about to close the door when he heard a small voice call for him. He leaned out the door and looked down the hallway only to see Miranda, carrying a small pile of clothing, and Allen, carrying small stack and waving at the red-head.
"well well, if it isnt the mega moyashi!"
Allen faceplaneted into the floor.
"do you really have to add the mega part!" he whined. Lavi laughed quietly.
"lavi-kun." Miranda greeted the boy. "i've brought some clothing that would fit kanda better. Is... he alright?" She looked at the sleeping boy latched to lavi.
"he's fine." lavi grinned. "just had a long night."
"what were you harassing him all night?" allen snapped with a sneer. Lavi raised an eyebrow at the boy. "well you seem okay, maybe me and miranda should switch for a while..."
"eee!" Allen cried, rushing behind miranda and clinging to the back of her long skirt. She laughed.
"sorry but i think im rather attached to allen kun." she smiled. "but if you need me to look after kanda for a while..."
"nah." lavi sighed. "he just didnt sleep well is all. He probably had alot on his mind. So today is 'kanda's nap time' day. I plan on letting him get in as much sleep as he wants."
"which probably wont be alot if you keep talking so loudly baka usagi." kanda grumbled up at the boy. Lavi grinned sheepishly.
"sorry yuu." he sighed. "why dont you change into some more comfortable clothing and then we can go back to bed." The samurai nodded and lavi let him onto the floor. He wobbled a bit, but was steadied by allen who handed him some clothing. He mumbled out a thanks before dissapearing into lavi's room.
"he MUST be tired." Allen stared. "he didnt even make a height joke..."
"well, he's kinda short too now." lavi grinned. "so im sure he's trying to avoid the topic of height at all costs."
Miranda and allen nodded, and were about to wave goodbye when lavi remembered something.
"ah, miranda, lenalee wants us all in the cafeteria by ten." he called to them as they looked back. "oh, and keep and eye out for komoui!" The two face planted before staggering to their feet and wandering off. Lavi shut the door and turned back into his room. Kanda stood by the bed, wearing his new clothing. It fit him perfectly. It was a dark blue jacket over a black shirt, and long blue pants. He looked up at lavi in suprise.
"She really worked hard on those." lavi stared. "be sure to thank her when you see her." Kanda nodded, then waddled over to lavi, looking up at him with sleepy eyes. Lavi laughed. "alright alright." he picked up the boy and placed him into the bed, and was about to join him when there was another knock at the door.
"geeze!" lavi cried. "what is this! there must be a sign on my door that says 'bother me' or something." Ignoring kanda's snickers, he went back to the door. "who is it?" he called through.
"uh... um... its me!"
Lavi sighed and opened the door to reveal alteara and luna. Alteara was holding luna, while at the same time holding a rag over the girls arm.
"you wouldnt happen to have any bandaging would you?" Alteara looked slightly hysterical.
"are you guys okay?" lavi asked, ushering them into the room.
"well, luna saw a bug and kinda freaked and then there was this shelf and..."
"i said i was fine!" luna whined. "it doesnt hurt!"
"hush." alteara snapped. "you need a band-aid."
"i think she'll need more than a band-aid for that." kanda pointed out the edges of the rag that were turning red as the girls sat on lavi's bed next to the boy. Lavi returned from his bathroom with a roll of gauze.
"geeze." he bopped luna on the head. "cant you stay out of trouble for one day?"
Luna winced as he took her arm and pulled the rag away. There was a nice gash from the top of her hand extending about five or six inches down her arm.
"what did you do!?" lavi stared, starting to wrap the girls arm.
"bookshelf." luna said simply, wincing at the shooting pains from the bookmans grasp.
"it was just a bug!" alteara sighed.
"THOSE THINGS ARE EVIL!" luna shouted. Kanda stared.
"you freaked out over a bug?"
"EVIL!"
He sighed. "whatever."
Lavi finished the wrap and cliped it shut. "that should hold for a while. Just be more careful!" Luna sighed, poking at the new addition to her arm. Lavi blinked for a moment. Then he noticed her new clothing. She had on a purple short sleeved shirt, and black pants. Her long red hair was tied up with a purple ribbon.
"so you guys saw miranda?" lavi asked. They nodded.
"luna was hurt but she INSISTED on changing." alteara sighed.
"i am NOT walking into a guys room practically NUDE" luna growled.
Lavi sighed. "alright you two... now did miranda tell you about the meeting today?"
"ten in the cafeteria." Luna repeated. Lavi nodded and the group said goodbye. As luna and Alteara were walking out the door, luna peeped over alteara's shoulder at the boy.
"i like the sign on your door!" she laughed, before the two vanished down the hall. Lavi growled and threw his door open, looking at the outside. On it was a small sign that said 'knock if you like knocking.' Lavi ripped it to pieces and threw it on the floor, grumbleing as he slammed his door shut once more.

As lenalee approached the cafeteria, she sighed.
"i must be the WORST babysitter in the world!" she moaned, lightly bopping herself on the forehead. "none of the others lost their kids. Maybe its just because i got stuck watching nii-san..." she sighed again, thanking a finder who held the cafeteria door open for her. She looked around a bit, then spotted (almost instantly) the others. They were hard to miss. First was lavi, who was gently rocking a mini kanda back and forth in what lenalee assumed was an unconsious motion, because he was talking to Alteara as if nothing was strange. Kanda was fast asleep, still gripping lavi's shirt. Miranda sat at the table, feeding Allen who was obviously having a relapse, because he was happily opening his mouth for more food almost like a baby bird. Alteara was standing and speaking with lavi, and behind her sat luna at the table, staring in what lenalee could only assume as an extremely bored expression at the wood of the table and leaning on her bandaged arm.
"Hey guys!" she called, being sure to be quiet for kanda's courtisey. Alteara and Miranda gave quiet 'hello's while lavi simply nodded his head in recognition. Allen blinked up at her in confusion before turning back to miranda and tugging her sleeve. The woman looked down to see Allen smiling up at her softly. She grinned back.
"still hungry? What would you like?"
As he rambled off a list of new foods for a laughing miranda, luna turned to lenalee.
"any luck with komoui yet?"
Lenalee sighed. "none at all..."
The group sighed. Miranda returned with a multitude of dishes, and set them on the table. At the same time, Kanda squirmed in Lavi's grip and the redhead looked down to see the little samurai looking back.
"you awake now?" Lavi smiled. Kanda nodded, his big violet eyes staring up at the bookman. Lavi instantly spotted the relapse. "you hungry?" Kanda nodded again and lavi released him to the ground. Kanda padded over to the table to see Miranda grinning and helping Allen eat. He found a bowl of soba amongst the food and stared at it intently. Allen stopped eating for a moment to notice the boy. Kanda ducked under the table when allen cocked his head at him. Luna giggled.
"i think he wants the soba." she pointed at the bowl and Allen seemed to get it. Using his amazing infantile strenght, he picked up the bowl and slid off the bench, trying to keep all of the soba in one place. Moving around the table, he spotted kanda trying to peak over the edge again. The little samurai jumped and edged away from allen. Instead of pushing, Allen just stared.
"w-what?" kanda snapped. "what do you want?"
Allen blinked, then smiled at the boy.
"Smile!" Allen grinned, shoving the bowl into Kandas hands.
Kanda stared down at the soup in his hands, enjoying the salty smell and the heat. Somewhere in kanda's mind, he registered the irony of Allen Walker, the botomless garbage disposal of the food world giving away his own meal, and smiled.
"kay." he nodded.
Miranda sniffed lightly, holding a napkin to stop her tears. "its so sweet!" she cooed as Alteara nodded. Lavi just grinned from the side. He had always been certain that if Allen and Kanda had met under different circumstances, they would have been the best of friends. 'i wonder.' he thought 'does that go for me too?'
"ah, Reevers!" lenalee called over the the science department head who had just entered the room and seemed to be looking around. The kids blinked up from their meals to see him comming over.
"lenalee!" he called, "there you are! I have important news!"
"what is it Reever-san?" Miranda watched the man curiously.
"Someone spotted komoui!"
"what?!"' the group cried.
"where?! Where was it!" lenalee cried, shaking the man violently.
"by the f~front g~gate!" he called, trying to loosen the girls grip, or at least stop the shaking. He was feeling sea-sick.
"The front gate!?" lenalee dropped the man to the floor. As Reevers groaned, rubbing his backside, he nodded.
"we should head there immediatly. If he gets outside... who knows what could happen!?"

"ah yes.. i saw him" the gatekeeper called down at the group. All of the children were hidden behind their adults, staring up at the massive talking wall with awe.
"he went OUTSIDE?!" lenalee cried, gripping her hair in her hands and shaking her head around.
"na~ lenalee..." lavi laughed nervously, trying to pry the girls hair fro her grip. "your going to pull your hair out..."
"THAT EXPLAINS WHY MY FATHER WAS BALD!!" she shrieked, laughing insanely.
"dear god..." luna stared with wide eyes. "back away slowly..." she and the others slowly moved away from the crazed girl who was now kneeling on the grass and ripping out small pieces, throwing them into the air.
"what should we do?" miranda asked nervously. "the kids cant go tromping around in the woods..."
"alright." lavi sighed. "lets find a clearing and then figure out our plan of action."
The group moved into the woods, each carrying a child accept lenalee, who wandered behind, still bursting into crazy laughter every few moments. The field was large, looking almost like a soccer field.
"i didnt know this was here!" miranda cried, looking in wonder at the perfectly manacured lawn.
"We used before when allen needed to sleep in the sun." lavi nodded.
"ah!" allen cried. "i remember that!" Lavi raised a brow at him, but didnt question it. Of course allen should remember, but then again, he also shouldnt be around 3 years old currently. So all bets were off.
Luna rushed out into the grass and began spinning around. Allen ran out after her and the two began a game of chase. The adults laughed for a moment as luna tripped and pulled a summersault and sat up with grass all over her head. Allen laughed as well, clutching his stomach and pointing at the girl. Kanda squirmed in Lavi's arms slightly. Lavi looked down at the boy who was staring wistfully at the two. Lavi plopped the boy onto the ground and pat his back encouragingly.
"off you go yuu-chan!" he cried, pushing the boy forward. "go play!" Kanda glared at him for a moment, before tromping out into the field with an obviously fake sour face.
"so cute when he's in denile..." lenalee sighed. "alright, now about finding nii-san..."
"we should split up." lavi offered "we'll be able to cover more ground."
"someone has to stay with the kids..." alteara said quietly. Miranda nodded. "ill do it. You three can move faster and get better views of the area than i can."
Lenalee nodded. "alright. Meet back here in five hours."
"right!" the group cried before they ran off in different directions. Miranda sighed and sat on a small hill, shaded by a single tree. This spot was a great vantage point over the whole clearing, and from here she could see all three children, running around with big smiles on their faces. She sighed.
"if only they could stay like that forever..."

allen: author-chan... could it be!? you went TWO DAYS without an update?!
Moi: i know! amazing right! but i just couldnt resist this time. The play scene was just too cute! Along with Allen and Kanda's 'food sharing' incident.
Kanda: hey i was like, 3, i had NO idea what i was doing!
Allen: and i think i liked you better that way.
kanda: moyashi...
Lavi: so author chan, any clues as to the next update?
Author: well, seeing as im am now reinspired, i think it will be soon. (like tonight) But i'd like to apologize in advance, because the next instalment is not going to be so much 'funny' as it is 'omg i cant beleive she is that horrible to small children.' sweatdrop Be ready for some violence, a monster (this time i swear it will show up), komoui's hiding place discovered, and me breaking my promise about finishing this in two more updates. But two more after THIS one, and im sure ill be done. (i hope.)
