Author: what lavi is so artfully trying to express, is that i decided not to do an actual story update... but just set it up for tomorrow ^ ^
Allen: dont you think thats kinda mean author-chan?
lenalee: seriously! your going to break Alte-chans heart!!
Author: well... its like 11:30 at night!! this is my 'towns surfing' time! plus...
Lavi: plus..?
Author: the prologue to the story sucks... TT^TT Its my least favorite part of the whole thing!!
Kanda: well you tried your best...
group: O.O
Author: thats ... so kind...
Kanda: *reads first chapter* ...and it turns out your best is garbage. *tosses notebook*
Author: hunnnnyaaaannn!!! *leaps after it*
Group: *sweat*
Lenalee: dont you think that was a little... mean?
Kanda: nope
Author: *cries*
Lavi: you jerk, apologize!!
Kanda: fine... im sorry your writing sucks.
Author: *sniff* me too...
Group: ...
Lavi: i give... *huff*
Allen: well, if it doesnt work the first time... why not make it better the second?!
Author: that...is a GREAT IDEA!!
Group: ?
Author: i shall revise!!
Group: hurrah.
Author: ill change what i dont like, add and subtract, and it shall by my masterpiece!!
Lavi: haha... math-ter-piece... haha...
Author: *hugs lavi* and that would be why you're my favorite.
Allen: i came up with the idea...
Author: what was that Alex?
Allen: *gloom in corner*
Author: whats wrong with Anthony? *points to Allen*
Kanda: ... i have no words for your stupidity...
Author: aw, i made him speechless!!
Lavi: *high fives* sweet!!
Lenalee: im trapped with a bunch of psychos....
Author: alright, its time for an amazing disclaimer, then im off!! Who would like to do the honors this time?
Lavi: *waves hand in air* oh~ oooh! me!! i never get to do it!!
Author: the floor is yours...
Lavi: really? *looks at floor*
Kanda: *twitch* just. do. it.
Lavi: ah, right... Author-chan does NOT own D. Gray Man. If she did... uh... what do i say?
Group: *deadpan*
Lenalee: you'd think a witty comment would just pop out but noooo...
Allen: *sigh* say something funny!!
Lavi: um... the rain in spain stays mainly on the plain?
Kanda: someone... anyone... hurt him...
Author: oh no ya dont! *bats Kanda away* Let him do it. Now lavi... try again.
Lavi: Righteo! Author-chan does NOT own D. Gray Man! If she did, there would be alot more shots of my butt!
Lenalee: my god...
Allen: *smacks forehead* UGH!
Kanda: *twitch*
Author: *thumbs up* good job!! *pats lavi on the head*

D Gray Man: Pieces of the Heart
-- prologue--

The Black order. A dark religious organization that exists to save humanity. Connected to the Vatican, it consists of Scientists and Exorcists who search for the means to combat their sworn enemy, the Millennium Earl. With only the thoughts of eliminating humans from the world, the Millennium Earl and his followers, the Noah, take the lives of humans to create Akuma, soul-less killing machines. The only chance of salvation rests with the exorcists and their comrades.

Allen Walker was ill. To the normal person, he seemed okay. Maybe slightly more tired, or a little spacey, but to the heir to the title of 'Bookman', it was completely obvious. He could see the dark shadows under Allens eyes that the boy hid away with smiles, and noticed the dull luster of his usually bright eyes. He watched as Lenalee approached several times, asking if the boy was alright, only to be denied with another half-hearted smile that seemed so real. But Lavi knew.
He didnt try to help Allen. He was obviously trying to hide his illness for a reason, which lavi could not guess, and so lavi would wait untill he could wait no longer. Thats how it had to be.
As a bookman, lavi was forbidden from being 'involved' with the people he was around. He could only observe and interact, but becomming 'involved' was far past the line. Even though sometimes he wanted to grab Allen and shake him, yelling 'YOU'RE SICK', or just scream at someone to look at the boy whom they would obviously realize was ill, but he couldnt. So he would wait, and lock away the bad feeling in his chest telling him that something horrible was about to happen, and hope that it was wrong.
Allen was too busy to notice the bookman in training observing him from every angle. His mind was already occupied with questions, like why his chest would freeze at odd moments, catching his breath and stopping his heart, or why, on some nights, he would wake up in a cold sweat, gripped by fear and crying for a reason he could not remember. He wondered why his eyes would overflow with tears at odd moments, as his body cried about something his mind could not understand. It was getting harder and harder to hide, and keeping a worried lenalee at bay was not something he needed on his 'to do' list.
But as time passed, he wondered how long he could hide it. It started with chills as he walked through the hall, causing him to turn and look for the eyes fixed on him, only to find emptyness. The feeling of being watched escalated into voices, taunting and laughing at him from thin air. Then items in his room started moving. Not much, but just enough for him to realize that he was not alone. And when he tried locking things away, he would return to find something destroyed. A chair here, a book there, ripped brutaly to shreds. Allen could only stare in disbeleif at each object destroyed. Why was someone doing this? He hadn't done anything wrong. Who would do such a thing?

How far would this thing go before it was enough..?

Lavi: congradulations Author-chan!! But.. may i ask... why are you dressed like that? *points at avatar*
Lenalee: yeah author-chan, you look like some kind of fairy or something...
Author: im just dressing nicely for this little one right here! *holds up yama*
Allen: oh dear...
Lenalee: what?
Allen: Author-chan has gone into 'mother mode'
Author: whos a cute little eggy!!! you are! you are!!! yes you are!!
group: *sweat*
Kanda: and how long will this phase of stupidity last?
Allen: you dont wanna know...
Lavi:... i thought i was her baby!!! *cries*
Group: *deadpan*
Lavi: AUTHOOORR-CHAAAAAAANNNNN... *sniff*...why...
Author: aw its okay usagi-koi, your still my man ^ ^
Lavi: *manly* yes thats right i am the man of this house and i must help take care of our child.
Allen: *looks around* and what house would that be...?
Kanda: a psyche ward.
Lavi: *smacks kanda* no cursing in front of the baby! *sheilds egg*
Kanda: what the heck i didnt even curse!!
Lavi: *smacks kanda again* no sarcasm in front of the baby!!
Kanda: *growles* ill show you sarcasm...
Lavi: no threats in front of the baby!!
Allen: hmm... no cursing, no sarcasm and no threats...? i guess that means anywhere near that egg is a 'no kanda' zone.
Lenalee: hes just mad because he didnt appear in this chapter.
kanda: *grumble*
Author: at any rate, im going to be loving on this cute little baby untill its all grown up!!
Lavi: thats the spirit mom!
Kanda: *gag* think im gonnna hurl...
Lavi: no hurling in front of the-peoawjrn. *is punched by kanda*
Kanda: you were saying..?
Author: *death glare* kanda... do i need to write an omake about the christmas party to tell everyone just what that picture is of...?
Kanda: O O
Author: are you going to cause trouble anymore!?
Kanda: *shakes head no*
Author: are you going to be good and listen to everything i say?!
Kanda: *nods*
Author: Good.
Allen: ah, the power of motherhood. Its enough to bring even the mighty kanda to his knees.
Author: *overly sweet smile* and you... allen-kun?
Allen: *bows* i shall heed to your every whim oh mighty overlord...
