Author: if it's any consolation.... you actually get some peace in this chapter....
Allen: LETS DO IT!
Group: sweatdrop
Author: short intro is short so that i dont forget the insperations i've gotten from reading THE WHOLE THING over again. because i forgot what i wrote, and where i was going.
Lavi: you forgot?
Author: yeah...well... as i was re-reading... i pretty much got it all back. Like, in the last update, i had totally forgotten that i had made kanda dissapear on his mission. (Kanda: che!) And while i was reading, i was like... "he should dissapear. it would be a good plot twist!" and then he did, and i was like... "oh." XD

Pieces of the Heart
Part 12

"Komoui-san..?" Lavi knocked on the broad wooden doors leading to the supervisors office for the third time. Allen, who was still being held, peeped over Lavi's shoulder.
"Maybe he's not here..." the boy said softly.
"Reevers said he was though..." lavi bit his lip in thought. It would be nice if Komoui wasn't out and about, slacking off. There were people to worry about for heavens sake! They hadn't had any leads on kanda, and if that wasnt enough, Allen was in dire need of rest. And soon.
"Let's just take a peek shall we?" Lavi shrugged, pulling on the door handle. The door clicked open softly, and swung open noislessly.
The office was covered in supprisingly less paper than normal, as if someone had actually bothered to do something with it instead of leaving it around. In the center, was Komoui, lying fast asleep on his desk. His head was down, resting on one arm, while the other still held a quill in writing position. However, the jerky motions of signatures and comments had long since seased.
"He's asleep." Allen blinked. Lavi glanced at the boy, before turning to the supervisor.
"Should we wake him?"
But before Allen could protest, Komoui jerked upward, creating a huge ink slash on the paper he was writing on before falling asleep, and blinking around wearily.
Once he caught his breath and adjusted his glasses, he noticed the two boys staring at him.
"Ah.. Allen-kun, Lavi... to what do i owe this visit?" Komoui smiled as he stood and streched his arms, popping his shoulders almost painfully.
"Sorry to wake you..." Allen said quietly, looking guiltily at the supervisor.
Komoui smiled, but the stress in his face was still painfully obvious.
"It's alright." he laughed. "I should be up working anyway. I've been neglecting this stuff for too long." He motioned to the floor. "So... what are you here for again?"
"Ah." Lavi grinned, shifting Allen to a more comfortable position on his back. "I was thinking of letting Allen-chan here get some sleep."
Komoui frowned.
"Lavi... you know that's not a wise idea...If Allen-kun sleeps then..."
"Not if he sleeps in sunlight!" Lavi interjected. "Plus, he'll have guardian-chan and me with him!" He nudged the boy on his shoulders, and Allen wearily presented the stone fox that he had grown into the habit of carrying with him. Komoui still looked skeptical, but as he looked closer at Allen, he realized there may be no other choice. The poor boy was a mess, with mousy brown hair tangled and hanging limply over his face and dim amber eyes. He was struggleing, and Komoui caved with a sigh.
"There is one condition." He held up one finger to stop lavi's celebrating. "Reevers must accompany you. He will observe what happens and decide if this should be continued." Lavi grinned with a nod, and Allen smiled weakly.
Komoui called for his assistant, who appeared almost instantly. He smiled and greeted the boys, and joined them as they went to get some supplies. After a few stops, they were following Reevers outside and into the bright sunlight. Lavi winced a bit. He had been inside for so long, he almost forgot what it was like during the day.
"Here's a good spot." Reevers grinned after a bit of hiking in the woods led them to a clearing. The grass was green and spongy, perfectly soft to lay on. The clearing was large, a bit bigger than a soccer field, and was surrounded by a lining of trees.
"Woah." lavi stared as he looked around. "I had no idea this was here..."
Reevers grinned. "Some of the scientists liked to play some outdoor sports when they had free time... a long time ago... " He chuckled. "But now, this place is only used by kanda, when he's training."
Lavi blinked for a moment.
"This is where Yuu-chan trains?"
Reever's stared back.
"You didn't know that?"
"He never tells me!!" Lavi moaned. "He said he didn't want me "disturbing his peace" or some other junk like that."
Reevers laughed as the pair set up a blanked in the middle of the field. Lavi moved over and gently set Allen into the middle of the blanket. Allen's eyes were hooded, and he seemed to be struggling to keep them open. Lavi grinned, before gently placing a pillow under the boys head.
"Have at it moyashi." Lavi laughed. "We'll keep you safe."
"I dont know how much good i could do..." Reevers laughed. "but if i can scientifically help you, ill do my best!"
And with a sigh, Allen fell into a deep sleep.
The other two watched for a moment, then surveyed the surroundings. Nothing weird was happening.
"For now... it looks like it works." Reevers grinned.
"Im glad." Lavi sighed. "It's about time something worked for this guy." He leaned down and gently pulled some of the hair from Allen's face.
And the two turned to the clouds as they watched time fly by.
***

"Allen..."
Who...?
"Oi... Allen...!"
thats...
"Moyashi, open your eyes!"
Allen jerked upward, colliding with the person leaning over him. Actually, he hadn't even realized he was lying down. But now he was seeing stars a his forhead complained about the sudden impact.
A hiss and a few curse words from next to him explained that his partner was doing the same.
"Christ moyashi... take it easy." kanda glared at the boy past the hand that he was certain was now holding his brains in his head.
"Well if would help if you weren't standing right over me Bakan...bakanda...
KANDA!?"
Allen's eyes practically bugged out of his head as he stared at the dark haired samurai who almost looked just as suprised as he was.
"What is wrong with you moyashi?" kanda grumbled, standing up and looking around. "And where are we anyway?"
"Huh?" Allen blinked, before he finally decided to look around. He was lying in grass, that felt a little damp, but not uncomfortable. They were on a grassy hill, sitting under what might have been the only tree in the entire area. The rest of the land was extremely flat, and alternated between seas of green and blue.
"This is..." allen stood with a sudden wave of recognition.
"Welcome."
Kanda and Allen whipped around to see two girls sitting under the tree, basking in the shade and enjoying a picnic.
"Who are you." kanda snapped, reaching for mugen. He faultered when he found it wasn't there. Looking around for a moment, he found it lying on the picnic blanket. He growled.
"Kanda..." Allen stopped the boy from advancing. "This is... Luna." he pointed to the red headed girl who was staring cooly at them and sipping her drink, "And Alteara." He indicated the blonde, who was sitting a little further back, and looking a bit shy.
Kanda blinked, looking at the girls, then back at Allen, then back at the girls.
"So you're saying... these are the girls who have been talking to you?"
"Not just talking Mr. Kanda." Luna said from behind her glass. "We have been protecting him, as well as those around him." She put her cup down, revealing a reserved smile.
"please, sit." alteara motioned to the blanket they were on. "Join us for lunch?"
"Ah... thanks..." Allen seemed a little nervous, glancing at Kanda before moving to sit on the blanket. Kanda, after a few moments indecision, followed suit.
It was quiet for a moment, before Allen couldn't help himself any longer.
"Kanda... What happened on your mission?" He asked, turning to the older boy.
"What are you talking about beansprout?" Kanda raised an eyebrow at the boy. "Nothing happened."
Allen blinked for a moment.
"But... the report said... you were attacked... and then dissapeared!"
"Dont be ridiculous." Kanda scoffed. "I wouldn't be foolish enough to be caught in some stupid trap."
"Who said it was a trap?" Luna inquired, tilting her head lightly. "All he said is that you were attacked."
Allen watched as Kanda's eyes darkened, before his skin suddenly became deathly pale and dark. He gasped and jumped up, trying to move away. Kanda looked just like his reflection had, the time before!
"I see." Luna smiled. "Now... where could the real Mr. Kanda be?" She turned to Alteara, who was watching the scene like a hawk.
"Where's Kanda?!" Allen snapped at the fake Kanda. The fake grinned widly, a gesture that looked purly evil on Kanda's visage. Reaching for Mugen on the blanket, he unsheathed the sword, his weapon glinting in the sunlight.
"Allen... You will be mine!" Kanda grinned, lunging foreward. Mugen flew in a wide arch, slicing with deadly accuracy. Allen fell to the side, just barely missing the edge of the blade. Kanda pivoted in place, swinging downward at the boy. Allen rolled away, whimpering as he watched a few pieces of his brown hair float away in the breeze. The two continued with this game, attacking and dodging for as long as they could. Soon, Allen was panting heavily, leaning on the tree for support. kanda stood, seemingly unphased. He grinned at Allen again, turning his blade for another attack.
"Please... Kanda..." Allen panted, holding up one hand in a meak defense. "Where is... kanda?"
The fake Kanda grinned.
"I killed him."
Allen's breath hitched as he stared at the form with disbeleiving eyes. Kanda wouldnt... kanda couldnt...
"Oh you should have seen him..." Fake Kanda grinned, swinging Mugen around in playful circles. "He fought pretty hard... but once i stabbed him a few times he seemed to settle down well enough." He laughed, his heavy voice filling the area like dark clouds.
"K...kanda..." Allen stared, sinking down to sit at the base of the tree. "You... you're lying!" He yelled back weakly.
The figure stopped for a second, scoffing down at the boy as if he was observing garbage. "Think what you want." It shrugged. "It won't matter once i've killed you."
And with deadly accuracy, he turned and shot the blade straight toward Allen's heart.
***

Lavi and Reever's could hardly believe what they were seeing.
Well, they weren't really seeing it, so much as catching small flashes. But that was enough.
It had started a few hours after Allen fell asleep. The two had been chatting nicely about anything from weather to music. Suddenly, something caught lavi's eye.
He turned abruptly, and stared into the trees ahead of them.
Reevers stopped as well, looking where he thought lavi was looking, then turning back to the red head.
"What is it?" he asked.
Lavi held up a hand, indicating for the man to wait as he stared intently. Suddenly, it happened again. The whole area around them seemed to phaze slightly, and he would see different landscaping. This time, Reevers was looking around as well.
"Did you see...?"
"oh yeah." Lavi said softly.
"What do you think it is?"
The red head shrugged.
"I just hope it doesnt have to do with Allen..."
But both of them knew it did.
Suddenly the surroundings phazed again. This time, they saw a hill, with a few people on it, before everything vanished.
Reevers turned to Lavi.
"So?"
"It was Allen... and strangly enough... kanda... and two other girls that ive never seen before." Lavi said, squinting into the space where the group had appeared. "Do you think... it's what Allen is dreaming about?"
There was a moment of silence before everything phazed again. This time, when they expected things to go back... it didnt.
"Uh-oh." Reevers blinked.
"Not a good sign." Lavi sighed, but he watched. Suddenly, Kanda jumped up and dove at Allen with mugen. Lavi blinked for a second. That wasnt how Kanda usually attacked... it was more... harsh. Like he was actually aiming to...
"What is he doing!?" Reevers shouted, pointing at Kanda. "Why is he attacking Allen?!"
"That's not kanda!" Lavi suddenly said, staring at the scene. It wasnt long until the Fake had Allen pinned against a tree. Even though they couldnt hear a sound, they could see Allen shouting at the other. And suddenly, the fake went in for the kill.
"ALLEN!!"
***

Allen had to sheild his eyes from the bright light that erupted in front of him.
'Geeze' he thought 'i know there was supposed to be a light at the end of the tunnel, but i didnt think the tunnel would be so short! or the light so bright!'
He winced at the high pitched sound of metal on metal. That was probably him dying, or maybe fake kanda puting mugen away? He shrugged. All he knew was that he felt incredibly tired, and suprisingly pain free.
"Baka."
Allen blinked as the light vanished. He was still by the tree. That was strange. He looked down at his chest, gripping the cloth. No blood... That was even stranger...
"Che."
This time, the call caught Allen's attention, and he turned to see someone standing over him. Heavy boots dissapeared into a black long coat, that was only interupted by long ebony hair spilling over his shoulders.
"How dare you..." the fake hissed, holding his ground with mugen and struggleing to push forward.
"Che." The opponent spat, "Like I could let you get away with copying me you baka." the swords ground against each othed as finally the fake was pushed away. "The only one who will kill that moyashi will be me!"
The fake jumped away and Allen stared up at his savior.
"Kanda..."
The real kanda turned, glaring down at the young boy, and for a moment, Allen thought his eyes turned soft, but before he could really see, Kanda turned away.
"Not really." he said softly.
Allen blinked. "Wait, what? What do you mean "not really"?"
"I'm not really that Kanda." The other said, "I'm the feelings that Kanda put into that." And he pointed at the pendant that was glowing softly around Allen's neck. It was even floating gently above the boys chest, pulling toward the one pointing at it.
"But then... " Allen blinked. "What about the real Kanda?"
Pendant Kanda simply shook his head at the boy, and Allen watched sadly.
"Well, i hate to break up this wonderful reunion." The group turned to Luna, who was still sitting on the picnic blanket, staring at the two kanda's and allen. "But you," she pointed at fake kanda, "are no longer permited in this world."
Behind her, Alteara's eyes lit up in golden light, and suddenly the world seemed to get brighter as sunlight filtered strongly through the sky. Fake Kanda immediatly began to smoke and sizzle as he cried in anguish and sank into the ground. The other two stared where fake kanda had been.
"why... WHY DIDNT YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE!?" the remaining Kanda screamed, pointed at where the shadow had been. Allen shrank back into the tree and even Alteara looked a little taken aback, but Luna just smiled.
"Then Allen wouldn't have been able to meet you." She said simply. Kanda stopped, then turned to Allen, who was still leaning on the tree, and quietly reached down and pulled him up by the arm, helping him stay on his feet.
"So, what about the real kanda?"Allen insisted again. "Why did the darkness look like him?! Does that mean... does that mean..."
"Kanda will return when he is able." Luna grinned at the boy. "but really, is he that far away?" she motioned to the kanda standing next to the boy, who looked shocked for a moment before turning away to scratch his nose, hoping to hide the soft dusting of pink on his face. Allen stared for a moment, before smiling, brightly.
"Yeah..."
"Luna..." Alteara peeped in, catching the girls attention.
"Ah, right." luna nodded. "Allen, it's almost night. You need to wake up now."
Allen blinked. "And uh... how do i do that?"
"Go to sleep." luna laughed as if it were rather simple.
Allen looked rather reluctant. "Is it... safe?"
"Dont worry." Allen turned to Kanda, who had a hand on his shoulder. "I'll keep you safe."
Grey eyes blinked up into ebony, before they fluttered closed and Allen sank to the ground.
"Oi!" Kanda jumped, catching the boy before his skull aquainted itself with the ground.
"My, looks like he was worn out." Luna giggled. Kanda growled. Then suddenly, Allen's body faded away and left Kanda standing in the field.
He closed his eyes as well, preparing to leave.
"Please wait."
Ebony eyes popped open again, staring at the blonde who addressed him.
"Mr. Kanda." luna smiled, standing from her place on the blanket. "I beleive we have something to discuss..."
***

"ALLEN!" lavi cried as the fake Kanda aimed for the boys heart. Then suddenly, everything blinked and he found himself reaching out toward an empty field.
"eh?" he blinked for a moment, before turning to Reevers, who looked equally confused. They both turned to Allen, expecting blood, or even a blade to be present, but the boy just sighed and rolled over in his sleep.
"Um..." lavi continued to stare at the boy. "was that... his dream?"
Reevers shrugged. "It's a possibility, but im not really sure what that would mean..."
The two sat in silence for a moment, staring around in an attempt to reign in their minds.
"A-at any rate," lavi blinked up at the sky "It's starting to get late. We should probably wake Allen-chan before it starts getting dark..."
Reevers nodded and reached over, gently touching Allen's shoulder and shaking the boy.
After a few moments, Allen groaned lightly, curling into his pillow.
"Five more minutes..." he whined.
"Allen-chan~" Lavi cooed "if you don't get up, you're going to be late for work... You don't want the boss man to be mad at you again... And i need to go shopping because lavi jr. need's some new shoes and you need to watch our little Allen jr because you know how much trouble he can get into when we leave him on hi-mphe!" Lavi looked shocked at the hand covering his mouth, and then mock glared at the exasperated look on Allen's face.
Reevers stared between the two, before he burst out laughing.
"What a cute family you make!" he snorted.
"ugh..." allen groaned, releasing the red-head and rolling into a sitting position. He stopped for a moment to fondle the pendant around his neck. Lavi and Reever's exchanged curious looks before Allen turned to them with a smile.
"What time is it?"
Reevers smiled back, patting the boy on the head. "Its a little past dinner. We've got about an hour till dusk, so we thought it would be best to wake you up now."
Allen looked devistated. "Did you say PAST dinner!?" he moaned. Lavi laughed while Reevers tried to calm the tramatized boy.
"Dont worry" he soothed, "Jerry agreed to make you some special meals for tonight so that you're not hungry while you stay up."
Allen sighed with releif before the group got up and began packing away their things.
"Hey, Allen?" Lavi turned to the boy for a moment. Allen turned to show he was listening. "Did you have any... er... dreams... while you were sleeping?"
Allen blinked at the boy for a moment. Then he turned and looked to the trees.
"I.... I saw Kanda." He said softly, before he picked up the blanket and started walking toward the towers entrance. Lavi blinked, then turned to reevers, who shrugged. Allen would explain it to komoui. Until then, they had to wait.
Allen sighed as he reached the outer edge of the woods, waiting for the other two to catch up so they could enter the tower together. As he stood before the massive doors, he remembered the first time he met Alestina, the door keeper. Of course, that also involved the first time he met kanda, and the harsh attack that followed. Allen laughed a little, remembering the encounter. A sudden gust of wind caught his attention as he tried to keep the blanket from flying away.
He froze.
Lavi crashed into the clearing, and stopped when he saw Allen's rigid form. He looked at Reevers before moving toward the boy. He put a hand on Allen's shoulder, jumping along with Allen at the sudden contact.
"Ah, lavi!" Allen looked releived. "Sorry... i was... ah... did you... hear anything strange?"
Lavi looked around, listening for any sound, before turning back to Allen's almost pleading eyes.
"No, Allen... i dont hear anything."
For a split second, Allen looked devistated before his smile was back up in place, but lavi had already seen.
"What did you hear Allen?" Lavi demanded, holding the boy in place.
"Aha." Allen laughed, hiding behind his smile, "The wind was just playing tricks on me!" The boy grinned, before he turned, pulling out of Lavi's grip to head back to the door. "Lets go in, im starved!" he smiled.
Lavi blinked for a moment, before sighing with a shrug.
"What do you think that was about?" Reevers blinked at the red head.
"I couldn't tell you." Lavi raised his hands in defeat. "That boy is harder to read than Yuu-chan."
And the two shrugged before following their charge into the building.

Papers, papers, more papers, letters, orders, reports, papers, papers papers!!
Komoui sighed loudly as his head collided with his desk, sending a few stray papers into the air. There had to be some better way...
Sitting back up and rubbing at the red bump slowly growing on his forehead, he looked back down at the document he was currently scanning.

witnesses report seeing a strange horse around the city of Glerbeck Germany. The horse was reported to be a deep purple in color, with plaid printed main and tail. A finder went to intercept and conducted an interview with the horse determing that it's favorite drink was coffee, its favorite color was acctually blue and it enjoyed making very lame puns-

Komoui's head returned to it's impact spot on the desk. He was looking for clues on Kanda, not idiotic horses that enjoyed a good pun!!
Ruffling his hands through his hair, he stood and began gathering more papers off of the floor to stack on his desk. He paused for a moment when he realized that most of the paperwork that used to decorate the room was actually finished and in neat stacks by the extra chair he always kept in the room. The rest was only a few stray papers here and there. He wasn't sure whether he should be extatic or distressed. On the up hand, he had gone through so much paperwork, that he and the science department may actually get some free time at some point. On the downside, he had yet to find even a clue as to the whereabouts of Kanda Yuu.
He sighed again, picking up the final piece of paper and adding it to the stack in his arm, before moving back to his desk and placing them in the "to do" pile. He looked around, and almost felt a slight sadness at the empty feeling of the room.
Moments after he pulled up the next piece of paperwork, a small knock sounded at the door.
"Come in." Komoui called, slightly confused. It was quite late, around 11, so someone coming at this time was rather unusual.
A small head of mousy brown hair and light amber eyes peered around the door.
"Komoui-san?"
"Ah, Allen-kun!" Komoui grinned, standing and spreading his arms in an open air hug. "Come in, come in! What can I do for you?"
Allen snuck in, closing the door behind him with a soft click. He peered around, staring in wonder at the clean office.
"Come, come, Allen-kun!" Komoui grinned, "You act like you've never seen the floor in here before!"
"...I haven't..." Allen blinked, before moving over to the couch.
"o-oh." Komoui laughed sheepishly. "Well, at any rate, take a seat! What can i do for you at this hour?" He returned to his seat, placing the paper he was looking at asside in order to focus on Allen. Said boy came foreward, somewhat nervously.
Or maybe it was hessitantly?
Actually he just looked downright distracted.
"Is something wrong Allen-kun?" komoui urged as the boy finally found a seat on the plush red couch.
"oh!" Allen snapped back to attention, "Actually... um... i came because you told me to... ah... whenever i... uh...-"
"You saw luna again?" Komoui enquired, trying to ease the boy's obvious nervousness. Mousy brown hair bobbed in a nod.
Komoui leaned into his desk and pulled out a little brown book, which he flipped through to a blank page before writing the time and date down on the top.
"Could you tell me what happened?" Komoui smiled softly, preparing to write. Allen nodded, and for the next hour the room was filled with quite murmers and silent scribbles.
After a few moments, Komoui let his pencil fall to the table and stared at Allen, who was currently trying to figure out how small he could make himself on the big couch.
"...K-kanda-kun? You saw Kanda-kun?" Komoui leaned foreward, as if getting closer would tell him the truth. Allen flinched back a bit.
"I told you... It wasnt really kanda... but... at the same time... it was kanda... but..."
"Right, right" Komoui waved the sentance away, trying to help Allen order his thoughts. "So.. have you tried calling him again?"
The british boy bowed his head, giving a silent 'no'. Komoui sighed before leaning on his clasped hands.
"I don't want to make you do something you're uncomfortable with..." he soothed, "and these conversations will stay simply between you and me, so no one else will try to either."
Allen looked up in suprise, which quickly melted into gratitude.
"However." Komoui continued, causing Allen's face to shift once again to apprehension. "I get the feeling that there is something you're not telling me..."
Allen blinked at the man, before he seemed to make up his mind about something, and sat at attention, barely hanging onto the couch.
"Komoui-san..." he bit his lip "Have you... has anyone... been into the piano room?"
Komoui blinked, completely taken by suprise. "No.. i don't think so." he replied, "The only ones authorized to enter there are me, you, and Inspercter Leverier and his crew... and they should be in Africa at the moment..." He stopped at the look on Allen's face. "Why?"
Allen looked to the floor, twisting his hands in his lap for support.
"Allen-kun?"
"I hear music."
Komoui wasn't sure if he was more supprised by the sudden declaration, or Allen's reaction of shoving his face into his hands to hide. This was definitly not something that he could overlook, but hearing music... what could that mean? Was it the musician? Now was probably the worst time for Allen's inner noah to start pounding at the gates of his sanity. Maybe the darkness was playing a trick on him?
Either way...
Allen started at the hand that gently clasped his shoulder, and looked up into the gentle eyes of Komoui.
"Don't worry Allen-kun." he said softly. "We'll find a way to make you all better."
Allen blinked before smiling through his tears. "Really...?"
"Of course!" Komoui grinned, pumping a fist into the air. "So how about this? Tomorrow night, we can go check the ark, and see if anyone has been messing around in there. We'll see if we can find some clues and then go on from there. Sound good?"
"yeah." Allen grinned back.
"Yosh!" Komoui stood, walking back around his desk. "I come see you tomorrow, and we can go check things out."
Allen stood with a nod.
"Thank you... Komoui-san."
"No problem Allen-kun! Now, why don't you go relax for a bit. We've got quite a few hours till daylight, and if Reever's report is any proof, it seems that you'll be turning nocturnal soon... "
Allen laughed lightly, before waving at the scientist and leaving the room.
He felt so releived. Even with all of this crazy mess happening around him, he could still count on Komoui to keep him in good spirits. And after a full day of rest in the sun, he felt stronger than he had in a long time. It was as if the sun had created a natural defense against the darkness!
Reaching down, he gently fingered the pendent swinging on his neck. The small stone was always cool to the touch, reguardless of how long he held it. It was as if it was filled with energy. Had Kanda really put that much thought into his protection?
Smile increasing, Allen began heading in the direction of (what he hoped was ) the caffeteria. Jerry had promised him some leftovers, and he was starving!

Allen Woah, im not dying in the end!
Author: i figured, for once, i could make it seem as if things were looking up.
Lavi: we all know how well that's going to end...
Allen: TT^TT
Kanda: and where the HECK am I? And what was with all of the Kandas!? Are you crazy!?
Author: ahah... well... there seems to be some confusion about that... there are 3 kandas. The origional, who is missing on his mission, The pendent Kanda, who is actually only the feelings that kanda placed into the pendant (being, protect allen.) and who knows that he isnt acutally kanda (thats important! ) and then for this chapter only (maybe) the darkness disguised itself as Kanda to try and get Allen. You know, luna said that the darkness would try to trick him...
Lenalee: Ahem! *taps foot*
Author: alright, i have no excuse for you. I totally forgot about you. sweatdrop
Komoui: Don't worry my sweet lenalee! I'll give you my screen time!!
Author: or... i could just write both of you off. -_- Frankly, the reason lenalee is still around is because i like komoui too much to have her killed, or MIA.
Kanda: oh, but you spare me no thought?!
Komoui: you like me?
Lenalee: WHAT!? No one is good enough for MY brother!!
Group: o_O
Author: i didnt know you had a brother complex...
Lenalee: you can't have him! he's my meal ticket!!
Group: *deadpan*
Author: ahaha... right... time for bloopers!!

"Please wait."
Ebony eyes popped open again, staring at the blonde who addressed him.
"Mr. Kanda." luna smiled, standing from her place on the blanket. "I beleive... i beleive... there is something on your face." she pointed.
"what?"
"CUT, CUT!" The author sceamed. "What are you two... Oh.. kanda..."
Kanda put a hand up to his face, feeling around for what should obviously be an offending object. When he felt nothing, he pulled it away, glared and prepared to rip the girls a new one, until he noticed black smudges....
"U-SA-GI!" He ground his teeth, stomping over to the dressing room once the crew burst into laughter. He stormed in and slamed the door, and the crew waited in supressed laughter.
"... IM GOING TO KILL YOU!"
The laughter returned once more in full force. Kanda stormed out of his dressing room, face covered in doodles, including a swirly eyebrow (that was twitching violently), a hitler mustach, and a triangular soul patch. Along those lines, were several more random swirls and stars gracing his cheeks.
"WHERE IS THAT USAGI!?" he snarled, whipping around in fury. Lavi, who had been sleeping peacefully with a smile on his face, suddenly felt his 'kanda-gauge' tingle, and shot up, fully awake and prepared to run.
However, his sudden rising just happened to alert a certain homicidal Exorsist.
Kanda turned with a deadly gleam in his eye, slowly stalking up to the frightened red-head.
"Y-Yuu chan...? Aha... aha... come'on buddy... now... now... calm down!" Lavi flailed in the air as a sword came slashing down into the chair he had been sleeping on. Kanda pulled back, preaparing for another strike. Lavi took the moment to get to his feet and run. The cast and crew sighed as chaos insued.
Finally, after 4 broken cameras, 3 destroyed tables, 2 injured cameramen, and a partrige in a pear tree, kanda had lavi trapped in a corner.
"Yuu-chan... you wouldnt... really kill your best friend now ...would you...?" Lavi cowered.
"Oh no." Kanda snarled, sheathing mugen much to the releif of the red head. "I've got something MUCH worse in store for you..." and he pulled something from his pocket.
"No.. yuu-chan... you wouldn't ! no... NO... NOOOOOO! "
*Allen holds up sign* "5 minutes later!"
"Can we get back to work now?" The author called with a sigh. Kanda, grinning smugly, stands from his chair and moves onto the set.
"Alright, we can get started as soon as lavi GETS HIS BUTT OUT HERE!" she called to the dressing room.
"No way!" Lavi called back, hiding behind the door.
"Oh come on!" lenalee snapped (omg she spoke!) before marching over to the door. She whipped it open and froze.
"Oh... lavi... *giggle* i didnt realize... *snort* "
"ha ha, laugh it up." Lavi snaped, walking out onto the set, ignoring the silent gasps and laughter of the crew. He hopped into place on the set, trying to ignore the rasping cough-laughs from kanda across from him.
He glared, which just caused everyone to laugh harder.
"What in the world is going on?" Alteara walked in to see everyone laughing, then turned blinking eyes to the source of the laughter, namly lavi. The red head had black expo marker scrawled across his face in what could only be called a very crude immitation of makeup. He had long thick curly (slightly jagged) eyelashes, black bloches on his cheeks which could be assumed as blush, and horribly akward black lipstick making his lips look massive and misporportioned. Along with the marker, his hair was pulled into uncomfortable looking tufts, each tied with a different colored ribbon.
"Ah... who's the new girl?" Alteara blinked.
This time, Kanda really did laugh.
